Taken in Destin, FL over New Years '09 ^_^ I'm really happy how this turned out, it makes my mediocre costume look pretty spiffy!
And that is a painted Nerf Maverick. I was complaining how I never have any props with my costumes and my friend Mia just happened to have one in her car! We drove 20 mins to the closest Wal-Mart (it's an island, for f* sake!) and I got black and silver spray paint, which I totally painted the night before in our hotel's parking lot. ;D

What do you mean "mediocre costume" ? I know the Zero Suit isn't that complex or anything flashy in the games, but you've made it look great, even if this is a rather simple costume.
You deserve credits, believe me.

Love that beach! My daughter lives in Ft. Walton Beach (right next door). The water is beautiful aside from the often rip current that exists. The sand is so soft and white. Very nice futuristic shot. All you need now is a space ship or a sub!

My fiancee points out to me the difficulties involved in finding women's boots without heels, so I can quite understand.
Perhaps a canvas shoe would suit your purposes? It would preserve the line of the leg and provide a flat foot, without being very difficult to cover up or color appropriately.
Theres nothing simple or mediocre about this costume, spandex suits are hell and you did an amazing job on this so congrats you look awesome as Samus ^^

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
